INCENTIVE: At her particular canon point, Rogue is killed while fighting to save the world, or at least impaled with a giant scythe with death being the 99.9% likely outcome. She'd request for the surviving heroes, be they Avengers or X-Men, find a way to go back in time to right the wrongs somehow. Her not dying would be a fantastic bonus, but not necessary.
FIT: For one, girl has her life force sapping power all under control and can do all the touching she desires. She's had several serious relationships, the main one being her on and off again boyfriend and fellow X-Man Remy LeBeau and the most recent being Magneto. Currently she's flying solo and learning how to be a touchable adult on her own, so if this incentive thing's legit, then she'll really benefit from her time here. Also not being dead in Eudio is a great bonus. Thanks city officials.
CONSENT: Considering she wasn't able to touch other people properly for the majority of her adult life for fear of killing them, Rogue is very big on consent. Even with her control she usually requests permission to borrow powers from her friends and allies. Further, as mutant and X-Man first, she believes that people have the right to live their lives in peace, and has a history of shitkicking people (or really wishing she could have shitkicked people) who do horrible things to others without their consent. Case in point, Wanda dropping that charming "No more mutants." bomb and turning the majority of the mutant population into humans without their consent never sat well with Rogue.

ANYTHING ELSE? Before her death, Rogue borrowed Wolverine and Sunfire’s powers so that she could have weapons for the battle on the horizon. Therefore, she’ll still have them when she arrives. They will fade as she uses/drains them (think of a battery). From Logan this includes bone claws, his healing factor, his enhanced senses, and a bit of his charming personality traits. As for Shiro's abilities, she has his basic solar flare abilities, which include flight.

Oh, and she may have a bit of a temper...
