voice.
[He's just ā y'know! Testing the waters. Mutants don't sound familiar... And she doesn't look familiar, either. But he's just gotta stick his nose in the business of potential Avengers members. Like, yeah, he turned down being in the group ā but maybe someday...!]
voice.
[Have a cheerful and low, but feminine, drawl with the response. She sounds quite relaxed with the question, though intrigued.]
Ah take it you're from a universe without mutants too? Otherwise you'd probably recognize me.
[A pause as she grins.]
We've worked together.
voice.
Any uncertain staring is quickly replaced with a flustered stammer, of course.]
I ā we ā have we?
[This place is freaking insane.]
Re: voice.
Yes, but if you ain't familiar with mutants, then you're from a different universe.
[A pause as she drops a location for him.]
Ah'm up on the roof if you want to chat sugah.
voice. -> Action.
[SHE'S CONTROLLING ME WITH MIND POWERS, I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING.
But he breathes in deep and relents - and soon she'll find a familiar figure swinging across the rooftops and tramways. Heya, Spider-Man, look at you go. The blue and red figure lands on his heels, balancing precariously on the railings of the community roof as he looks to the Avenger from another
motheruniverse.].... 'Sup.
[He salutes a little.]
Action.
Ah'm timin' you.
[Because she just can't help herself. When he arrives, she's in her uniform as well, something she opted for given the likelihood that he'd show up in his. It's a formality for the most part.
Absently, she glances at her wrist. Is there a watch there? Hard to tell. Regardless, she chuckles at his salute.]
Figured it'd be easier to talk multiple universes in person and off network.
[As she's speaking, she takes flight and hovers above solid ground nonchalantly.]
Action.
like a chameleon boy and not a spider boyto get a bit closer, with keen interest in anything she's got to say. Karen's already doing a scan on Rogue and the area, just to make sure everything's actually safe; believe it or not, his AI's kind of a helicopter mom, okay?]I've heard a little bit about it...
I mean, I spoke with the Tony from the other universe for a little bit, too.
It's still a lot to put my head around, though.

In biological terms, mutants sure can procreate with humans.
Good luck Karen.]
He's not from 616 neither, which is my verse. We're tryin' to catalog them, or the science sorts are at least. [Her smile is full of empathy.] Ah know. We're just used to everythin' goin' to hell in a handbasket on a regular and often intergalactic basis.
no subject
[He cocks his head to the side, thoughtful and curious.]
So you um. You know me? From outside of the mask, even? Or just... you know. This look.
[He waves a hand in front of him, magically.]
no subject
[She raises her eyebrow and puts her hands on her hips, cocking them sassily even in mid-air.]
Yes.
[Because his questions were redundant and she can't help herself.]
The Peter ah know's less itsy bitsy though. Closer to my age.
no subject
[A beat, and then he drops his arms in defeat.]
Is that my new nickname? Itsy Bitsy?
no subject
First lesson, don't worry about who's cooler than who. High school cliques ain't somethin' we want to encourage sugah. [She pauses.] Have you met Deadpool yet?
[Because he's on an entirely different, likely overwhelming, level.]
Second, you are your own person from your own universe, so try not to compare yourself. A lot can happen in a year, much less a decade or so.
Perhaps. What say you to fightin' monsters and showing me what you got?
no subject
I can wrestle a few wild animals if you want, I guess... I've never done that before, though. I don't have to hurt them, do I? I mean, I'd hurt them if they were hurting something else first, but I'm not really good at throwing a first punch. Especially if I'm on their lawn causing trouble-
[Rogue. Rogue. You're dealing with a sweet young man who doesn't want to hurt a fly unprovoked.]
no subject
[Sweet cinnamon bun Peter.]
Ah said monsters, not wildlife that would make tasty jerky. Think D&D nasties.
[She sighs and squints out to beyond the wall.]
You need to be prepared in case shit hits the fan again. When people got sick with the nanites, the Perimeter guard was spread thin.enough to require assistance. Sometimes, there are missions beyond the wall where our skill sets are of great use.
[She paused.]
Ah ain't askin' you to kill anythin', but ah am expectin' you to be prepared for the worst. Consider this Avenger homework.
no subject
... Alright.
I'm good at doing homework, so let's do homework! It's important to be ready for anything.
[THUMBS UP I GUESS WE SHOULD DO THIS THING.]
no subject
She'll have to keep en eye on him.]
That's the spirit. Now let's see if you can keep up.
[And with that, she throws him a wink and 'dives' backwards into flight, twisting so that she loops and glances back at the teenager once more before dipping down to between the buildings.]
no subject
Aw, c'mon, of course I can! Trees are a whole 'nother story, though!
no subject
[She reaches her left hand down and flies above him, glancing back to gauge his distance.]
Use my arm as an anchor. Ah'm strong enough to carry you in a swing.
no subject
[He doesn't wanna hurt her or anything, but she's like, clearly a bad ass who knows her limits. So he uses a web from either hand, one at her palm, the other where her arm starts, and casually turns them into a little swing for him to sit in.
It's very ridiculous.]
Were you just born super strong?
Or is it like a Captain America thing, with serums and stuff?
no subject
[She grins down at him and chuckles softly, giving him a sharp, but playful tug upwards before making a tight turn between some buildings.]
It's a bit more complicated than that, but ah was born with abilities, yes.
no subject
More complicated than a radioactive spider bite?
no subject
Ah would say so, but ah'm clearly biased.
no subject
[It's not like he knows much about it. He only knows it was even a spider out of sheer luck of being able to see it; it could have easily just have gone up his pant leg and gotten swatted off unknowingly. Or something.]
What, um. What's your power, exactly? I mean, you can fly... and you're super tough... Are those your main 'thing'?
no subject
[Explaining her mutant abilities is more emotionally exhausting when it's to someone she otherwise knows. It didn't mean that Peter hasn't gone through his own trials and tribulations since gaining his powers.]
They're the ones ah chat candidly about.
no subject
It's just cool to have someone I can talk to about this kind of stuff. I mean, I'm not technically in the Avengers or anything, so I'm usually just winging it on my own. And Mr. Stark's great, but he's not super-powered, so...
