i know. i believe that. if i don't like him it's not because i have this image of him where he's a horrible person. some of it is on my end and i know that.

I ain’t judging your reasons for not liking him. He seems to go out of your way to irritate you because you bristle right easy, which makes it more fun for him I’d imagine. Least that’s what it looks like whenever I see it around the club. Vex likes playing with fire even as it’s burning him.

i know he does. that makes it more annoying. he likes making me uncomfortable because he gets a laugh out of it, but that's not... how you should treat anyone. it's not funny. and i don't get why he does if he cares about magnus so much.

i wouldn't want to piss you off that badly, even accidentally. i mean badly enough for you to slap me.

Old habits die hard. Remember he's even more elderly than Magnus, and many of those centuries he spent serving the Dark, which I doubt was a moral pleasure cruise. People do what they must to survive, and sometimes it's ugly as scalded sins.

I ain't excusing his behavior, but you know things ain't black and white. We all got our issues. I'm a jealous woman with one hell of a temper for example. Broke the rules of this place with him actually, but he didn't turn me in for it. That meant everything. I mean, he don't know what's happening for me back home neither, but I certainly do. He could have sent me home for what I did, but he didn't.

So no, you sure as hell don't want to piss me off, but I don't expect that'll be an issue.
